We adopted Gingko, now named Abigail (Abby). She grew up with two boys and loves to tumble and wrestle with her human brothers who absolutely adore her. She watches them get on the school bus in the morning, and knows exactly when to go outside and wait for the bus to return with her bros. She’s a terrific addition to our family. My husband, who grew up with cats, now is convinced that life is so much richer with a dog in the house.
Abby’s now 75 pounds and totally her daddy’s girl. She LOVES the dog park, playing with her Chuck-It, and also the laser pointer, but she Hates Water. She hates walking through a sprinkler, stepping in a puddle, so forget about going out in the rain or volunteering for a bath.
Abby is a bit skittish, hesitant and nervous around strangers both human and dogs. We tried to socialize her as much as we can when she was younger, so she has improved from when she was a pup, but she’s not completely out grown that.
Lately, Abby’s new behavior is sleeping with other people’s things. She take socks, shoes, toys to her bed and sleeps with them. We’re just glad she doesn’t chew them.
We enjoy hearing about Willow’s litter and seeing their pictures. Keep them coming. Maybe we can even get the siblings together at a dog-park date!
