Jeweliette was rescued from a cage by a concerned neighbor and brought to HELP in August of 2005. She had little or no food and water and was kept confined in all kinds of weather. Her trust level was absent and she was not coping very well at Petsmart.
I decided to let her out of the Petsmart cage in hopes of her overcoming her "cattitude" and to allow her to socialize with people. Her personality was not pleasant and she was not allowing people to become close to her.
I took her home and made her a part of my household. Today she is thriving and has become such an integral part of our household. We can't imagine our lives without her. Her siblings are still adjusting to her take charge attitude but they are learning to live with it.
She loves to play and she sits on my shoulder. Her purr is strong and she has a very delightful personality. We truly love her.
