Update 10/12: Elgin Considering Ban on Pit Bulls
Posted: 10-09-2009
The City of Elgin is considering a ban on pit bulls. As is typical in politics, people seem to be getting limited information, and different answers at different times. City Councilman John Prigge seems to feel very confident that the ban will go forward, and warned people with pit bulls who are considering moving to Elgin that they might want to look elsewhere. Pit bull owners, you are not welcome in Elgin. I will leave the implications of this to you.
H.E.L.P. does not support such a ban or any breed specific legislation. Please read H.E.L.P.'s position on this issue.
